Panipat : NBS-PDSU hold Mass Meeting to Mark Martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev PDF Print E-mail

On 22nd March evening, a highly successful mass meeting was held at Village Dikadla in Panipat District. It was jointly organized by Naujawan Bharat Sabha (NBS) and Progressive Democratic Students’ Union (PDSU) committees of the district. Displaying the portraits of the martyrs of anti-colonial movement, the activists of these organizations gathered from afternoon at the village in preparation for the meeting. Local cultural activists sang ‘raginis’ and progressive songs. People of the entire village including women, old and children participated. At 7:30 P.M., Nishant team from Delhi also joined the meeting in the vehicle used for the anti-imperialist Yatra in Delhi. The meeting was addressed by Convener of NBS, Com. PP Kapur, Com. Shamsul Islam and others.

On 23rd March a meeting was organized in Panipat city which was presided over by Shri Ramditta Mal who called upon the youth to come forward to fulfil the dreams of the martyrs of the anti-colonial movement. The meeting was addressed by Com. PP Kapur, Com. Amolakraj Batla and Dr. Shankar.

Earlier, on 27th February a memorial meeting on the occasion of 70th Martyrdom day of Chandrashekhar Azad was held in Narsingh Sadan in Samalakha. This was addressed by Com. P. P. Kapur and noted educationist Dr. Sukhpal who expressed his concern over cultural aggression of imperialist countries which is leading our youth astray.

Rewari (Haryana)

In Rewari District in Haryana, Naujawan Bharat Sabha (NBS) took out rallies in a number of villages on the occasion of martyrdom day of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and burnt of an effigy of WTO. Com. Puranmal Mudgil said that NBS educated the people in the campaign on the occasion of the Martyrdom Day. NBS held a meeting in the local Rao Tularam Park on 22nd March.
