The march of Indian people towards new democratic revolution is traversing the path emblazoned by sacrifices of their brave daughters and sons, who have given their lives for this struggle. Countless martyrs have given their all in the struggle of the Indian people against imperialist exploitation and feudal oppression, for building a new democratic India and in the struggles of the exploited and oppressed against their exploiters and oppressors. All India Party Congress 2004 pays its homage to these martyrs. Party Congress 2004 pays its homage to the revolutionary memory of martyrs of Great Telangana Armed Struggle, Naxalbari Peasant Armed Struggle and armed struggles of Debra Gopiballavpur, Musaheri, Lakhimpur Kheri and Srikakulam and Godavari Valley resistance struggle who sacrifices their lives for the revolution. Party Congress specially pays homage to the leaders of the revolutionary party - CPI(ML) - Coms. Charu Mazumdar, Satya Narain Singh, Chandra Pulla Reddy and other leaders. Since our last Party Congress several comrades have laid down their lives facing the attacks by police and security forces, landlords and their goondas. The heroic martyrs of attacks by police and security forces include veteran leader Com. Dharmanna killed in West Godavari, Com. Kumar, Com. Venkanna and Com. Sujata killed in Musmi encounter. Com. Murali was killed by police in Khammam. Com. Venkanna was shot dead at point blank range by police in Rajasthan in the course of discharge of his revolutionary duty. Com. Bahadur Ram was killed by Railway police at Bhabhua Road station (Kaimur District, Bihar) during the anti-price rise agitation by the Party. Our comrades have faced brutal attacks by landlords and their goondas and private armies in the course of building agrarian revolutionary movement in the rural areas. These attacks are being resisted by the people under the leadership of our Party in areas of our work. In the course of this a number of comrades have given their lives. Coms. K. Ganganna (Adilabad) in Andhra Pradesh; Coms. Akshywar Tato, Kedar Paswan, Sikaram, Shiv Shankar Mani (all Rohtas) and Com. Ram Vivek Singh (Muzaffarpur) in Bihar were killed by landlords, reactionaries and their goons. Com. Manoj and Com. Ram Ratan in Unnao (UP) were martyred in the attacks by landlords. Two leaders of the Party in Andhra Pradesh fell to the attacks by criminal gangs. Com. N. Venkat Rao was killed by criminal Mafia gang of Chenniah in Guntur and Com. U. Ramulu in the attack by criminal goonda gang of Bixamaiah. In Bihar two Coms., Devmuni Ram and Jagga Mushhar, were killed by Liberation's armed goons. All India Party Congress 2004 dips its red banner in the revolutionary memory of these martyrs who fell while taking forward the revolutionary cause of Indian people. Since our last Party Congress several important leaders of our Party who have served the Party and revolutionary movement for a long period and gave their whole life for revolutionary cause have left us. These include Com. Baldev Singh, former member of Central Committee, Com. Laxman Pagar, Maharashtra State Secretary, Com. Boga Sriramulu, APPC member, Com. Swaraj Samantha, WBPC member, Com. Y. Malla Reddy, ex-PCM, APPC. All India Party Congress 2004 pays its homage to all these veteran comrades and greatly values their contribution to the cause of revolution. Over last several years, a number of leaders and cadres of communist revolutionary organizations have been martyred in fake encounters, in attacks by police and in attacks by landlords and their goondas and private armies. Prominent among them were three CCMs of CPI(ML)-PW Com. Shyam, Com. Mahesh and Com. Murali, CPI(ML) – Pratighatana APPC Secretary Com. Madhusudan Raj, CPI(ML) – Janashakti APPC members Com. Rangavelli and Com. Pothanapalli Appalaswami (Kumar). Since our last Party Congress a number of veteran revolutionary leaders belonging to other C. R. organizations have also died after devoting their entire lives to the revolutionary movement. Such leaders include Com. Moni Chakravorty, Com. Phani Bagchi, Com. Souren Bose, Com. Darshan Dosanjh, Com. Purushottam Raju. All India Party Congress 2004 pays its homage to the revolutionary memory of all these martyrs. Party Congress 2004 pays its homage to thousands of martyrs particularly of oppressed nationalities who laid down their lives in their fight against Indian Government for their democratic aspirations including right of self-determination like Kashmir, Nagas etc. Party Congress 2004 also pays its homage to innumerable number of martyrs of the world who laid down their lives in the fight against imperialism particularly US imperialism and for the emancipation of mankind from all types of oppression and exploitation by the exploiting classes and all other reactionary classes of the world. All India Party Congress 2004 affirms its resolve to intensify the new democratic revolutionary movement in the country and rededicates itself with renewed vigour to take the New Democratic Revolution to victory. We reiterate our resolve to complete the unfinished task of these martyrs. That is the only true homage to these great martyrs. |
