(Here is the list of some of the military interventions by US imperialists in which large number of civilians were massacred. Prior to 2nd World War, US military campaign in Philippines had killed 6 lakh people and nearly 2 crores had died in Chinese Civil War in which US had militarily intervened.)

6th and 9th August 1945: Dropping of Nuclear Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan which killed lakhs of people and whose ill-effects continue to this day.

1950-53: US military intervention in Korea. US bombing of Korea and parts of China. 2,800,000 Koreans killed in US war of aggression.

1953: US intervention in Iran to topple the democratic govt. there. The coup restored Shah to power.

1954: US intervention in Guatemala propping up a dictatorship which massacred thousands of peasants.

1959-60: US intervention in Cuba.

1960-75: US military campaign in Vietnam in which four millions of Vietnamese were killed through use of napalm bombs, Agent Orange and massive use of explosives.

1964: CIA sponsored coup against Patrice Lumumba Govt. in which a large number of people were killed.

1965-67: CIA sponsored military coup in Indonesia and the massacres after that in which nearly one million communists and other people were massacred.

1969-75: Military intervention by US against revolutionary movement in Kampuchea in which nearly one million people were killed. US bombings in Laos too killed civilians in large numbers.

1973: CIA sponsored military coup in Chile against Allende's leftist govt. in which President Allende and 30,000 people were killed.

1979: US sent Army to topple Govt. in Grenada.

1980: US intervention in Nicargua killed tens of thousands of people.

1989-90: US sent army to capture Noriega, ruler of Panama. Nearly 20,000 people were killed in this military campaign.

1991: US led forces attacked Iraq killing nearly 2 lakh people. Harsh economic sanctions since then have killed over five lakh children for want of medicines alone.

1998: US bombing of Sudan in which half of its pharmaceutical industry was wiped out and large-scale casualties of civilians had occurred. US blocked enquiry into the damage and casualties.

1998: US fired missiles on Afghanistan resulting in large-scale civilian casualties.

1997-99: US bombings of Serbia and Bosnia killed the civilians in large numbers.

2001: US attacks on Afghanistan target hospitals, old age homes, dams, orphanages, relief centres, religious places and residential areas.
