Bankura District Secretary of CPI(ML)-Liberation Com. Bholanath Sit, District Committee Member Com. Sukumar Kar, 47 of their party members and nearly 200 supporters have quit Liberation. According to them, they have quit Liberation due to anarchism and groupism rampant in that organization. Com. Bholanath Sit has been a member of West Bengal State Committee of Liberation and General Secretary of their West Bengal State Peasant Organization.

On the other hand, the struggles of the peasantry on the question of land going on in Beliatore and Sonamukhi thana areas, under the leadership of CPI(ML)-New Democracy attracted them towards our Party. After discussion they accepted the ideological-political orientation and the line of the Party and joined CPI(ML)-New Democracy. This was announced at a mass meeting at Beliatore on September 12, 2002.

Their joining the Party will definitely help in advancing the peasant struggles in the area.
